When you walk into our State College shop we always welcome you as one of our own.

Happy Valley Optical is a local, family owned optical shop located in State College, PA. Our Optometrist, Dr. Robin Dutt, will always greet you with a smile.
Your eyes are our business. Eye exams for glassses and contacts. We help with the selection, fitting, adjustments and repairs of glasses and sunglasses.

Dr. Robin Dutt and her husband Scott are both alumni of Penn State. In 2005 they took over Bob Nace, Optician, a fixture in State College for over 20 years. In October that year they moved to the current location on Allen Street. When you walk into Happy Valley Optical, you will notice the difference. Scott knows you by name and can easily help you select the glasses you prefer. Robin is concerned about your eyes and is passionate about making sure you get the eye care that best fits you.
As a business, as a family, as your friends, we are active members of our community. We feature art by local artists with a permanent window display for The Gallery Shop and also have rotating exhibits inside the store from State College Area High School. Our kids go to school, are in the band, play rugby, play soccer, and are friends with your kids. We live in State College. We always treat you as one of our own.
We employ undergraduate students from The Pennsylvania State University who are interested in, and intend to pursue a degree in Optometry. Our past student employees have gone on to earn their Doctor of Optometry degrees from schools in Philadelphia, Boston, New York, St. Louis, Chicago, Memphis, and Florida.
